Somatic Movement and Wellness in Phoenix, AZ
A Creative Approach To Healing,
Wellness, And Well-Being
At Living Rhythms Healing Arts, dance and integrative wellness come together in a way most people have never experienced before. Our focus is on human embodiment. We believe movement, self-expression, and everyday life are deeply connected, and that how we move shapes how we feel.
Our approach artfully combines disciplines that are rarely offered holistically. Through a unique blend of dance, somatic movement, integrative wellness, mindfulness, and neuroscience-informed practice, we help people reconnect with their natural rhythms and move through life with greater calm, clarity, creativity, and wholeness. Our whole-person practice helps people improve their physical and emotional well-being, experience the joy of dance and movement, and feel more at home in their bodies.
Based in Scottsdale and Phoenix, we also serve clients in Los Angeles and beyond.
Trusted by individuals and organizations across Arizona and Southern California.
The Meaning Behind
"Living Rhythms Healing Arts"

Our name expresses our belief that healing is both a science and an art.
The art of healing begins with compassionate connection. It deepens as we understand others' stories, honor their experiences, and co-design meaningful pathways to wellness. This is where hope and possibility unfold.
Like a mosaic, whole-person health is shaped by many interconnected pieces: creativity, movement, expression, science, awareness, and reflection. We draw from an array of integrated wellness and somatic practices to help people reconnect with themselves and their bodies.
"I had a deep, emotionally healing experience with Debra last week during her Somatic Rhythms dance and movement session. I had a lot of sadness, depression, and guilt associated with my husband’s passing. [The] class relieved me of those bad feelings. If you have emotional stuff to get rid of, I highly recommend Debra’s Somatic Rhythms class. I look forward to seeing you there."

Meet Debra Davenport, PhD

Founder and Director,
Integrative & Somatic Wellness

Living Rhythms Healing Arts was founded by Debra Brittain Davenport, PhD, P.npn., TEP-C, CFT, CMP. Debra is an integrative wellness practitioner, somatic movement educator, Professional Neuroplastician®, pastor, and university professor with decades of experience in healthcare, movement, wellness, higher education, and organizational consulting.
Drawing on this breadth of experience, she helps individuals and organizations reduce stress, build resilience, and create healthier ways of living and working. Her compassionate, evidence-informed approach supports whole-person well-being while respecting the unique experiences, strengths, and goals of every client.
Our Values Are Grounded in Ethics and Integrity
LRHA is guided by evidence-informed practice, integrity, and scholar-practitioner collaboration. We purposefully established an interdisciplinary board of advisors because we believe meaningful healing work requires thoughtful oversight, diverse perspectives, and ongoing accountability.
We draw from widely respected professional ethical frameworks across healthcare, education, and leadership while practicing within our individual credentials, training, and scope of practice.

Our work is rooted in the understanding that healing is not only cognitive — it is physical, emotional, creative, collective, spiritual, and deeply human.
Through somatic movement and expressive dance, we help clients reconnect with the intelligence of the body and restore safety, wholeness, and flow. Our evidence-based practice supports nervous system regulation and embodied resilience without mysticism or “woo.” We focus on clinical, scholarly, and peer-reviewed research to inform our work. We are scholar-practitioners with a deep commitment to our clients’ wellness and well-being.
Our classes and workshops create safe, creative spaces where movement, expression, and self-discovery provide both healing and meaningful connection. Through pastoral coaching, we offer biblical guidance and support for all of life’s challenges and questions. And through holistic nutrition consultations — with specialized support for SIBO, histamine intolerance, and gut health — we help clients build sustainable foundations for healing from the inside out.

Three Ways to Heal. One Place to Start.

How We Support Healing, Wellness, and Renewal
Every class we design begins with one guiding question: How can these movements help the body, mind, and nervous system become healthier, balanced, and resilient?
Dance + Movement: Reimagined
Looking for dance classes that move beyond steps and choreography?
Experience dance in a fresh, new way through thoughtfully designed classes that artfully blend rhythm, music, mindfulness, neuroscience, and whole-person well-being.
We offer a variety of dance styles and approaches that support creativity, expression, mind-body awareness, and overall well-being.

Workplace Wellness Programs
Disengagement, burnout, leadership strain, cognitive overload, emotional reactivity, resistance to change, and decision fatigue are common signs of nervous system overload in today’s workplace. If you’re observing any of these challenges in your organization, we are here to help.
We partner with small to mid-sized organizations to deliver evidence-informed wellness and movement programs that help people regulate stress, strengthen well-being, and develop healthier ways of working and leading.
Available in Scottsdale, Phoenix, Los Angeles, and remotely.

At Living Rhythms Healing Arts, we understand that wellness is deeply personal. Your health and well-being are not goals to perfect, but experiences to be supported with care throughout your individual journey.
When you begin working with us, you enter a welcoming space centered on connection, growth, and whole-person wellness. You’re invited to engage in the way that feels most natural to you.
We create environments where people can move, heal, learn, and reconnect at their own pace – with steady support, encouragement, and kindness.
"Ahhhh … what pain? Any discomfort I had before is next to zero. Slept through most of the night and will try for one more hour. Thank you!!! It is quite evident that systems are blocked in my body. I have known this for so long. Your class is amazing!"
